Polishing Your Master’s Boots

Just the Way He Likes It

When your Master likes to have his boots nice and shiny, you need to learn the proper steps in order to make him smile. Boots are not just any other part of your Master’s wardrobe. These boots might be what you stare at for hours until he is convinced that you are worthy to look into his eyes. If your Master has talked to you about polishing his boots, this is an honor and a privilege. You will want to make sure that you perform this duty well and that you perform it regularly.

Clean the Boots
***************************************************

Before you begin to polish his boots, you need to make sure that you clean the boots of any dirt or debris. When they are leather, you will want to avoid getting too much water on the leather, lest you ruin its appearance. Instead, blot at any stains and use a special stain remover if there are stains you can’t seem to get out. Or you might want to surprise your Master by taking the boots to a special cleaner that can help you with difficult areas. Make sure that the bottoms of the boots are free from any dirt or debris as well. You can wash these down and take a toothpick or other implement to pull anything out of the treads.

Add Polish
***************************************************

Once the boots are free of any dirt, make sure to use an appropriate polish. You will want to choose your Master’s favorite, if he has one. If not, ask your Master what polish you should use. It will probably be one that is suited to the material and one that is the same color as the boots. Other Masters may simply prefer a clear coat, so it’s something that deserves to be asked before you end up with something that doesn’t work. Take the polish and smooth it over all of the exposed areas of the boot. This will help to protect the boot from further damage, while also providing a lovely shine to the boot. Try to avoid the areas where leather is not present since this might also stain these areas if they are a different color.

Buff and Shine
***************************************************

After the polish has sat on the leather surface for a little while, then you will get out the buffing and shining implements that are in the polishing kit, assuming you have one. If not, then you can take an old and soft rag to begin the process. Take the rage and move it quickly over the boots so that the excess polish is removed and the boots begin to shine. This process can take some time, so make sure that you’re not rushing. The more that you buff the area with the rag, the more they will shine. There are also electrical devices that can help you with this process, but they are not as effective as using your own hands with a rag.

Once the boots are polished and ready for your Master to wear, let him know by placing them at his feet and looking at them. If you did the polishing right, you will see your own reflection in them and you will see your Master’s happiness at the work you did as well. A Master might have you clean his boots as a part of a scene or in preparation of a scene, so ask him what he might prefer. This is an especially important question to ask if he only has one pair of boots. You will need to make sure they are always ready for your next encounter.

Choosing the Right Time to Collar Your Submissive

Collaring your slave has become a rite of passage in BDSM, and you might want to continue the tradition. But this process isn’t going to mean anything to a slave if they’re not truly ready to be a slave for you. You need to be responsible with handing out the collar, making sure that your slave is ready before you give out this honor.

Signs Your Slave is Ready

If you are already thinking about collaring your slave, it might be time to think about completing this process with them. However, there are other signs that your slave might be ready to take a new step with you.

* They are exceeding their training goals – If you have setup specific goals for your slave and they are meeting them and exceeding them, this is a sign they are ready for more.

* They are asking for more responsibility – When a slave specifically asks for more responsibility, this is a sign they want to do more than just come to sessions with you. They want something more long-term.

* They have done things that they thought they couldn’t do – If a slave has pushed themselves to places they didn’t think they could, this is a sign of their development as a slave. It is also a sign that they trust you as a Dominant and are now ready to listen to you even more.

You might also just have a feeling about a slave and that’s something to consider if the discussion of collaring comes up.

Why Collaring is Important

When you collar a slave, a number of things happen for the slave as well as for your relationship:

* The slave is more devoted – A slave that knows you want to work with them and train them as much as they want to be trained by you is a slave that will work harder and they will make sure they are pleasing you at all times.

* Training can be more intense – The training that you will do with a slave can become more intense as you now have a slave that has promised to be a slave for you and to be trained by you.

*The slave might sign a contract – Sometimes, a slave contract isn’t signed until a slave is collared, causing your relationship to be spelled out more specifically.

After a slave is collared, they tend to take their responsibilities more seriously. However, some slaves only work hard until they get the collar than they feel they have ‘made it’ and might need some reminders about their position.

Some slaves think the collaring is the end point of their training, but it’s really the beginning. You need to make it clear to your slave that when you collar them, this is only the starting point of their training. In fact, you might want to have a trial period with your slave to ensure they are ready for the next level of commitment in their training. If they pass this period, then you will collar them.

Not all slaves are as ready to be collared as they think they are.

Strap On Fun For Your Slave

BDSM Pop

I have noticed that a few pop singers are starting to use BDSM images and fashion in their videos. The funny thing is I get the feeling that these pop stars are not really interested in the lifestyle. The sense I get is that perhaps if they wear some latex, brandish a whip and some rope, that they will become the next Madonna.

I must admit my feelings about these types of songs and videos are a bit torn. First, it could be good in that it does open a lot of people’s eyes to the lifestyle and how erotic and amazing it can be. Perhaps it might even give a person the courage they need to realize their deeper desires within the lifestyle.

At the same time, just trying to hop onto the next trend so you seem different and unique is kind of lame. With that said, these artists are trying to show how mature and sexually confident they are and they are doing that by showing their comfort with the BDSM lifestyle.

Hard Limits vs Soft Limits

BDSM is a power struggle for most couples that enjoy it. When you’re talking over what you want from your relationship, you might begin with a list of the things that you want to do together, as well as the things that you don’t want to do at all. This allows you to both understand the boundaries that you will and will not cross. However, things can get sticky when you begin to stay together for a longer period of time. You might begin to realize that your hard limits are not really all that hard anymore, and that your soft limits are becoming more plausible. Here’s what you need to do to navigate the limits you set.

When you’re negotiating with a BDSM partner, it’s best to begin with the hard limits that you do not want a partner to cross. Though this list might change in time, it is also going to be something that allows you to build trust with your partner at the start. Soft limits are often the limits you set up at first because you’re not sure if you’d like something or not. For example, you might have a soft limit about gags, even if you want them in a scene. It’s a limit that you might change in the future, versus a hard limit that might never change. You can set up a few of these at first, letting your partner know these might change. In fact, this can be a good thing to do as it will help you to show your partner that you have other limits that you might want to change in the future. The more you trust your partner, the more you will trust them to take control.

You might want to look into changing the way that you play with each other and you might want to change the way that you begin to look at your control. For example, if you feel that you are ready to try a new play scene, then let your partner know. It can help to have a trial run first before you say that this is a new permission in your contract. See how it works out for the both of you and if it does work out, then change your limits entirely.

When you’re ready to think about your limits again, it’s probably time to change them. Limits are in place to help you learn how to negotiate with a partner, but it never hurts to begin to change them as you become a better slave or a better master. BDSM is about learning just how far you are willing to go – and how far you can go together.

With that said, never cross a limit that will put you in harms way. Pushing your limits is about seeing how much more responsibility you can handle, how many more spanks can you endure or trying a different kind of play that you have never tried before (like wearing a gag during play). Pushing your limits is not about trying something that will endanger you or your partner’s life. Always practice safe sex and always keep your BDSM play safe, sane and consensual.
